Waters became the primary lyricist and thematic leader, devising the concepts behind the albums The Dark Side of the Moon (), Wish You Were Here (), Animals (), The Wall (), and The Final Cut (). The band also composed several film scores. Following personal tensions, Wright left Pink Floyd in , followed by Waters in Missing: Melbourne.
